Questions about a Costa Rica Trip

I will be going to Costa Rica in just a couple of weeks and I need some help on where to do some good spearing, even spots that I can swim to from the shore if possible.

Here's the deal. Ill be going with my brother and sister, who both dive, but arent quite as eager to spend money on a charter for spearfishing. So Im in a bit of a bind because I cannot afford to charter anything expensive by myself. I will be on a budget.

So, does anyone know any near shore reefs that provide nice freedive spearfishing. Or, maybe a good spot where I can hire a guy with a smaller boat and pay him like 35/hr to take me to some local reefs to freedive?

Please help. It is so hard to find info on the internet about spearfishing Costa Rica. There really isnt a whole lot said about it.

WERE in CR are you going? Also east or west coast,

Actually, we decided to go north. Dominical was on our list, but since we are only going to be there 6 days, we had to put it off til next trip. I will be up in Tamarindo and a little north. Down by Nosara for a few days. And then the last day or so we will be back down in hermosa.
