also there are afew colours to choose from ..... i like the second one (link is below) the green and black.....dont really know if it makes much difference tho?! but if anyone who has one of these suits has any feedback for me, it will be much appreciated...Rabitech Spearfishing South Africa
thanks

Hey Greg, Howzit goin bud. Before we start this where in CT you from bro?
Now the suit, Ive got a 5mm in the blue and black, the one they have in the ads. Its a very warm suit, if your warm blooded like me Id say go for a 3mm top and 5mm pants, as that is what Im gonna be doing soon as I cant wear my top for very long before I overheat so at the mo I use the pants and a rashvest on top even in Smutswinkel. The fit itself is very good and the material they use makes for alot of manouvrebality in the suit. For the price also you cant go wrong, most if not all the divers I know use suits made by these guys. They are very professional and the service is excellent, just check all the seams as this can be a factor later on but having the factory close to home its also not such a biggie as they fix it for free in the first few months, depending on wear ofcoarse. Another bonus is that these are quite tough, they can even to a bit of cray hunting :)

hey, im from tableview...:t

thanks for the info....i also tend to overheat a bit in the water....last suit was a picasso and had to let water in every now and then to cool myself off....lol sounds crazy when u diving in the atlantic....did a 4.5 hour dive at platbank and was still warm when i got out!
hopefully getting the suit before the weekend....thanks alot! where you from?

I live in Brackenfell, basically around the corner from the Rabitech shop :) :martial

hehe convenient! i lived there for about 8 years.......till i was 13..my uncle still stays there.

Hi Capetownguy
Welcome. My predator suit is 5 years old.I think it is still in good nick and I must remind you I dive practicly every weekend. So the suite is well used.Like Deepthinker say the factory will gladly fix any seam problems for the lifetime of the suite.
Regards
Faizy

Thanks alot....
the suit will finally be finished today...so im off to fetch it in my lunch break!

You better hurry though, theyve got a crap load of back orders at the mo, due to problems with the importing of the material, Ill be fitting my new 3mm later this week after about a 2 month wait for material :friday Its all good though

I live in Stellenbosch and do most of my weekend diving in Rooiels area and Paternoster etc. I work a lot in Durban and Margate and so get wet off the Aliwal shoal and Park Rynie quite a bit. Id like to join you, thats a fine offer. I spent 20 years in Scandinavia (shot about 10 cod -thats about all they had) being back here is spearo-paradise! jim.hunneyball(at)profdoc.coza cheers

Hi
Got the suit about an hour ago :D (took a week from ordering to holding) and am shooting through to Rooiels before work tomorrow to give it a try...thanks for the tips. I bought some white stuff that after dilution should help get into the suit. It does but it irritates the eyes. Open cell technology apparently requires this, what do you others use?

Conditioner and water mixed at about 1:10. Use a spray bottle that way you use less and get the spots you want.

Cheap conditioner and water in a 2l bottle...
Im going to fetch my 3mm suit next week, its finished but I dont have time to go get it yet :)

I use 4-5 squirts of antibacterial liquid hand soap mixed with warm water in a 2ltr bottle. I've heard that hair conditioner can shorten the life of the glue in the seams of the suit. The hand soap also makes the suit smell better as it kills the germs and bacteria.
