Hi, everybody!

I'm new in the forum and pleased to have opportunity to get some usefull information for my hobby. I have a question concerning relaxation prior a dive. Normaly I've experienced that deep breathing (not hyperventilation) at the side of the pool is enough - beeing immersed to the chest. But last time I've immersed myself totaly in the water for about 30 seconds and than started to swimm under the water immidiately. The results were very good - relaxed swimming, "samba" at about 40m - much better as to start directly although in this way I was 30 seconds longer in apnea. Any explanation?

Thanks

Vojteh
