oh man speakin of remembering back in the day...this is prob gonna be a random comment that NOONE has any idea about...but here goes.
i was watchin this show "my name is earl" the other day.. and a quick shot of their TV had this kids show.. all i caught was a witch flyin a plane like this with a steering wheel, and a large white bird type sidekick sittin next to her while she laughed. i remember seeing that show allll the time back in the day but cant rememer what it is..any ideas??

how about the time my dad ran out of gas because all the stations changed their prices to 25 cents a gallon. And he was sure the next one down the road was still selling it for 19 cents a gallon.

Interesting question...

According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint which was promptly chewed and licked.
Here's an interesting question - How is it that despite my extensive consumption of pencils and 1980's London air, both with a high lead content, I am virtually unsinkable in the pool? :D

It's all the chlorine in the water, makes it denser! :D

That explains it! It also explains my lack of dynamic ability, the water is simply too dense for me!

Ahhhhh, ........the good ol' days. Like when my father taught me how to swim, ..............I almost didn't make it out of that burlap bag, ...............and all the kittens kept scratching me while I tried to get the knot untied.

Yep, we were tougher then!
