Renting weights in Sardinia

Hi all,

Anyone from Sardinia? I thought I could easily find weights but to my surprise the local dive center will not rent them to me since I am not diving with them (it is low season on top of that). I am currently in Porto San Paulo.

Next week I am going to Baja Sardinia and I am looking to do the same, does someone know where I can find this? I had no luck with Google .

It is an usual problem all over the world. I mostly make one dive with the local dive center, and then ask for rent the weight for the rest of my stay. It always works.

Isn't it cheaper to buy them in this case?

Of course it is cheaper , but the problem is traveling with them by plane.

Sorry, at first I didn´t realize, that it is even cheaper to buy them every time again, you are right.
I practise both scuba and free, so for me it is the best solution to buy and enjoy one dive, get the weight and use them for freediving.

Yes, that is what I meant . I finally spoke to someone very nice and his friend let me borrow them (Costa Carolina). In Baja Sardinia I found a dive shop the rented them out to me for 5€ a day which is a good price.
