There should have been a finite amount of 'rep' on DB that Stephan pumps into the system and then can just be redistributed.

Well it's a forum, and often we're dealing with novices, so I felt I should be 'over the top', in order that nobody actually is going to try it In real life I can share some rather cynical truths, but I found that most people want to live the lie, and you know big truth's are the traditional underdog, the untouchable in the public sphere. It's not called painful truth for nothing. Why is it painful? I think because it makes us aware of our own flaws.

So to return to reputation, if you want some, be careful about sharing truths.
Especially in combination with naming specific persons.
Humor and positive wording can help to make truths digestible.
