Repairing Carbon Fins

I've just purchased a 2nd hand pair of Carbon fins that have a little crack on the upper surface on the edge of the blade about half way along. The crack is about an inch and doesnt go right through (only the top sheet of carbon?).

Any ideas to fix or even just strengthen this would be appreciated.

I figure i could try a fibre glass patch but am worried about it adhering and how much it might effect the fins flexibility.

small drill hole at the end of the crack to prevent it from going anyfurther, then if you like small layer of glass or crabon cloth and epoxy, but i've simply used a 2 part super glue on the crack over the top and it worked fine.

as the crack doesn't go all the way through is it a good idea to drill all the way through ?

you can takea chance and just glue and clamp the cracked area, however i would have thought the crack may continue under the epoxy/glue if it was not stopped?

but just my thoughts. defintly gotta glue it but i would place a tiny hole through at the very end of the crack to stop it from continueing.

send a msg to ADR on here he is more than practied at this kind of stuff.

Cheers for the advice, im going to try epoxy on its own first and mark the length of the crack, if after a die it has lengthened i will drill it and try again.
