Hello,

I want to return to Freediving. Recreational for now. I'm looking for a club or some regular buddies, to pick up the hobby again. I live in Burnaby BC, I'm 30 years old and was freediving in 2008/2009/2010. I finished my AIDA *** Freediver in 2009. Well.....I haven't done it in 5 years, so that AIDA*** does not really count anymore ;). But then again, I was there once and know how it is...how amazing it is....
The reason I stopped was that I moved from Europe to Canada and just didn't have time anymore.

I'm looking on doing pool training and open water training to improve my skills and enjoy Freediving as a hobby. At this point I don't know if I ever want to do competitions. For me it's all about the awesome feeling and the body control when Freediving.

Do you know any good Freedive communities for the Vancouver area? Any link, hints etc. much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome back to Vancouver. We have a fairly active club. We get out most weekends and have pool sessions as well sporadically throughout the year. If you search Vanapneist you will find us and if you sign up we can get you in the loop via out list serve. We also have a Facebook page but we don't typically use that for planning. We might be doing some line diving this weekend.

Hi Ric,

thanks for the reply. I did come across the site you mentioned but thought it was inactive because the last blog entry is dated January 2014. But since you said it's still active I'll just sign up and go from there.

Cheers,

yeah, the site itself doesn't get a lot of action but our listserve does.
