What do you know?!

Tuboludo-boy finally found a mask that he likes :wave

I give it 9 stars out of 10 stars!

Why only 9 stars?

Because it doesn’t serve me a cold Czech beer (preferable Gambrinus) once I get out of the water :girlie

At last the micromask is awesome, I was literally getting ready to post a video reply had you given it a bad review and started the bitching but it's all good lol

Here's a birdie... Lol

Its the only mask that fits my face. I own 3 of them. The third one remains unused and only meant as a back up.

ha ha ha ….. Yeah, actually later on that afternoon when I went spear fishing in shallow waters, there was a Grebe following me around, literally staying within 3 to 4 meters of me (about 7 - 10 feet) at all times. Diving, going completely under and disappearing from the surface, only to come back up with small fishes that it was eating. No need to say that the Grebe was absolute superior to me in catching fishes

congrats on the find.... but I'm a bit saddened that this might mean that since you're off the market... it likely means no more mask reviews....

unless you're in an open relationship and can still see other masks...

Does a married man stop hunting fine women that pass him on his way through life?

Does a married man reject the attention of a beautiful woman when she gives him attention and promises him the world?

If there is one thing evolution has thought us, it is the fact that we men by nature have been programmed to explorer all “possibilities” of life :wave

We men have the capability to share our genetic composition and still return to our favorite love

So more mask reviews will follow as well as other reviews.

Maybe on a later occasion the Micromask deserves a second thought review to top if of!

Reading your reviews of this mask is painful... cus no low volume masks seems to fit me.

I've tried the Omer Zero (it hurt my temple), the micromask (didn't fit and kept popping off).

The fact that this fits you so well make me envious...

Still looking for a low volume/high visibility mask!

If you seen some of my other mask reviews you would realize that I have A LOT OF ISSUES with diving masks. Now I am just very happy that I finally found a low-volume mask that can use.

I do have one question thought, what do you mean by “(didn't fit and kept popping off)”???

That said I have some good news for you. I have a mask that I can recommend you that I think will please you. It is not as low-volume as the Zero 3 or Micromask, but it is pretty low-volume and I absolutely love that mask too:

The *** IST PRESTO *** from Taiwan. This mask might just solve your problems. You can also get it with black skirts and/or camouflaged!!!

PS, The TOTALLY OVERRATED OMER Zero 3 hurt my temple too and was in general a great big fat pain in the ass (see my Omer Zero reviews below) and when I tried the Aqualung Micromask just out of the box, playing with it and “feeling it up”, I found that when I sucked it hard to my face that I could feel it pushing my temple as well. Like I mentioned in my review, I was very skeptical before I took it to the ocean.

But surprise, surprise, I did not feel that the Micromask was hurting my temple what so ever when used in real-life conditions. Have you tried the Micromask in the sea/swimming pool or you just tried it “dry” in the shop???

2 masks to try that fit a LOT of different faces (because of ample, soft silicone) are the Sporasub Mystic (very low volume and great visibility - The Mystic is my perfect mask and my first choice for every type of diving. I'm in love. ) and the Omer Alien (higher volume and less peripheral vision than the mystic) which is still a great mask over 10 yrs later and fits a HUGE range of faces from narrow to wide!!

The Alien has so much of the soft silicone skirt that it really compresses well with depth.

If I'm lending a mask to someone for a trip and they only want 1 mask that needs to fit (without trying it in the water), this is the one that I lend them and it's always worked... No leaks, complaints or issues.

I have the blue ocean mimetic and have heard that the colored silicone is softer than the black.

tuboludo,

normally when I push a mask to my fact, the suction will keep it there without me doing more more however, with the micro, the mask keeps loosing the suction and pops off my face. Btw, what is the snorkel you are using please?

Apneaddict, I can't find the Sporasub Mystic or Alien anywhere in Singapore. I was able to test out a Problue 'Stalker' Mask and it was great, it's not super low volume but it's reasonably low volume.

However, I'm really hoping that the Nero is as comfortable as the Stalker as it looks like a proper low volume freediving/spearfishing mask.

In fact the alien looks very similar to the Nero mask lol!
The only other mask that seems to fit fine is the Mares Star mask. However, a bad experience with Mares masks have made me very wary of buying them again.

In my experience, all masks behave differently wet in the ocean than it does dry in the shop. I tried many, many times to find a dry mask in the shop that fitted me perfectly, but when I took the same mask to the waters, it disappointed me!!!

This is also why I no longer have any problems just ordering a mask from an internet shop since I won’t know what its worth before I hit the waters, anyways!!!

I bought my snorkel years ago. Don’t even remember when. But I think it is the IST “SN1” snorkel. The snorkel internal diameter is large than a normal snorkel. So the snorkel itself is kind of fat, so to speak. I like it vey much - all though it doesn’t help me breathing during my dives

Thanks for the link to the snorkel.

Well for the mask, I tried everything at the shop and frankly the mask just was too small. It felt like my eyes were being pushed together.
I was really hoping that the micromask would be the one for me but... next.

Which mask was to small pushing your eyes together???

The Micromask.

Okay, sorry to hear that :waterwork

You just need to keep searching.... one day you will find the right mask for you.... think of it as looking for the love of your life - it is just not easy :girlie

True true, however, it's starting to get old... lol!
