Review Aqualung Micromask (technisub) diving mask

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Think of it as a compromise. Just like with women. There is no woman out there who is 100% perfect for you. You have to live with her imperfections. And she with yours!

The same with the diving mask. You will not find a perfect diving mask. Ever, Never! But you can find one that you can live with by compromising.

The Micromask is not perfect. But for me it is near perfect. I have a beard and therefore I need either to cut it of or use Vaseline to seal the mask under my nose.

Like I said, nothing is prefect.

The IST-Presto I can use without Vaseline even when my beard is big. But it does not have the same low volume and superb visibility as the micro mask. Another compromise!!!

So think of it as looking for a woman, a love which will have compromises……

My next mask will be the Mystic. Even tough I am very happy for the Micromask I just need to try the Mystic. Don’t be afraid of buying a mask online. Actually it can be much better than just testing it in the shop because you always have minimum 14 days to return it (if you buy from Scuba store, you have 30 days). Of course you have to pay for sending it back, but once you look at that fee as a testing fee, then it is not really expensive…… and you get to test it in open waters. Give the mask a good clean in fresh water, dry the lenses and it still looks like new. No problems there!!!!

So get on with it, test a mask and then test another. It can be quite an adventure…. Just like hunting women rofl

PS, do not ever ask me questions about women, because when it comes to women, I am a 100% FUCKERMORON :blackeye

Hey, just adding to the database here, I finally got to try my Micromask this weekend and it was fantastic. I only got down to 28m (which is great for me but I understand that this is nursery school for a lot of you) and I don't recall ever having to compensate the mask (as I would have done regularly with my Mares Sporasub).

In any event, so far I love it. Unfortunately I was paying so much attention to my new mask, new wetsuit and weight configuration that I didn't really listen to what my body was trying to tell me and I had my first lung squeeze. Ho hum.
