Hi everybody, I am going to southern California in a little bit and I want to have a breakaway system If I see some big fish. However, after watching the video from Riffe ( Ill put a link at the bottom) I'm having trouble with rigging it. In the video the bungie on their gun goes all the way to the line release but on my gun it only goes to the line anchor. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I just need longer line? Also, is there another way to do a breakaway on a riffe euro? I'm having trouble trying to find information.

As a disclaimer, I never used a breakaway or a rifle but from my understanding you want that bungee to attach itself under tension to the line release. That means you either add more line or make it shorter. It all depends on the number of wraps u think you need.
From my little knowledge that I gathered from forum and from some very generous people here (hello mr. X and mr. Fox) you don't want to have too many wraps as it will simply make it a lot harder to load and can tangle a lot more but also you don't want to have not enough wraps so it doesn't affect your shooting.
That being said I would check the range were your gun starts looking accuracy and use that much line maybe 1 wrap more...
please understand I am a newbie spearo and my advice is mostly theoretical ;)
