Hi Murat , how are you mate ?
Not sure if we'll ever know what exactly happened but I spoke to the other guys who dived with Sheldon (we worked together , I was one of the group that went looking for him). It appears that it might have been SWB. He had a SWB some two weeks earlier , one of the guys is pretty sure he saw a Marlin moments before Sheldon disappeared and the shark bites could be attributed to the fact that he was chumming with sardines with the smell of the fish probably all over his suit ; so could have been mere scavenging after the fact .
As I said , this is pure speculation , but it makes sense .
Sheldon was a great young spearo and a sad loss to our community .
