I am new to the sport of spearfishing, and was on the lookout for a gun that had plenty of power, from a reputable maker, and at an affordable price for a new spearo, and this gun checks every one of those points. It is well balanced, sleek, the grip is very comfortable, and the trigger is nice. Many say it is too heavy, but I have experience with firearms and this trigger beats many of the handguns I have shot. It even includes a handy little wire loop that you place on the grip holes to hold the cocking aid! I compared this gun to my friend's beuchat espadon 75cm and this has more power than his, even though mine is the 55cm model and has a thicker shaft, snd since I will be fishing near rocks and structure it is more maneuverable. The only downsides are that it said it had a dyneema line and it came with thick monofilament, and that the aiming aids are easily missed, but both are minor, since new line is cheap amd you can paint white stripes on top to help you aim. Overall a really nice gun if you can't afford the higher end models (predathor vuoto). Definitely would recommend this over a seac any day of the week.

That gun is an equivalent to the Mares "Ministen" which used to come with or without a power regulator, but at that size you don't really need the regulator. Some spare speartips are worth having when fishing around rocks. Someone must have fitted it with the mono, also the wire loop as you usually don't get that. Replace the mono with nylon cord or dyneema as you want line cut resistance around rocks. If you thread some elastic ribbon through the hole in the loader then you can wear it on your loading hand wrist. You need elastic as you do not want to be caught up by it snagging on something. When the elastic gets tired replace it, generally you will get a couple of years out of an elastic loop, but don't use a rubber band as they can open up with a cut.

Thanks!

You can get a small plastic tub to wash the gun in as soaking a pneumatic gun will remove all the traces of salt in about fifteen minutes. As the gun floats you can do it end for end in a narrow vertical tub (make sure the tub will not tip over), such as a plastic cereal storage box, or sit something on top of it to hold it under in a small laundry tub that uses the minimum of water. Or wash it in your dive gear tub; I do the masks and snorkels first, the knives, then the guns, the dive fins and after that everything else. Weight belts, dive boots and catch bags go in last of all as they are often the sandiest, the weights belts last of all as you don't want to plonk them down on anything else, which of course is taken out as the next items go into the tub.
