Salvimar Predathor Krypsis 75 - shaft loading problem

Good day. Need advice for this issue. After guarantee repair received my Salvimar Krypsis and tried first time in the sea however failed to load shaft into barrel. Something stop shaft to load in the beginning. Initially I thought may be overpressure made by Salvimar. I decreased pressure a bit but still the same . Thenafter I unscrewed and checked vacuum muzzle - clean - nothing stop here but anyway something stop shaft move into barrel behind vacuum muzzle. Thinking what to do. Any ideas please

I did't find Salvimar service in Athens so have to do by myself. I remove the air pressure and opened top of speargun. . Pulled out piston which not broken and visually in good condition but a lot of thick and lumpy oil arround. Mr Chio Tulsa who published good video in YouTube said that this is evidence of salt water has entered to the barrel and most probably need to change gun Trigger engagement tooth mechanism. Time being cleaned piston and barrel by soft material. Will try to dismatle further while ordered salvimar oil and tooth mechanism.

Something is very strange. You said you couldn't get the shaft into the barrel. Something prevented the shaft from being loaded at the beginning.
Look inside the barrel.
Can you push the piston with the spear deeper than you did at the beginning, with the barrel unscrewed? The trigger mechanism only kicks in at the end of the loading.

Right. I couldnt push shaft into barrel . Maybe because of water and/or heavy air pressure ? Now when barrel and piston are clean and no pressure inside I can push piston inside. Trigger mechanism I did not check yet but if salt water was there probably need to be replaced. Not sure but people say

Before you let the air out you must put the power regulator to full power (forward position at salvimar). Did you notice water coming out with the air? You would have to dismantle the spearagun in any case.

Thank you for very useful video. Before let the air out I checked the power regulator to full power. Water was not noticed but quantity of oil was bigger then recommended 21 ml for this type (75 cm). Time being stuck with head . Sitting very tight

I purchased 2 spare shafts for my Salvimar Predathor 65 and 55. The 17-4PH brown steel.

I could not load when I installed it. I thought there was a malfunction, but once i went home, removed all the air, I noticed that the new shafts have a different tail/ tang.

I installed the old shaft and everything worked.

I am not sure what the new shafts are for, and the Salvimar website is not very descriptive.

Have you solved the issue?

I include photos and screenshots that show the different tangs. Maybe are you having the same issue?
What is your shaft tail like?

What is the OD (thickenes) of your old and nev shaft and tang? 8 mm shaft has thisker tang than 7 mm.

An 8 mm needle won't fit through a stopper made for 7 mm. If it doesn't go in at all, this is why.

Salvimar changed the tail end piece and the shock absorber. 8.5mm vs the old 8mm. The shafts are all 7mm for the vuoto.

I wonder if they changed the piston also to hold the shaft in the gun when pointed down. And if I can solve this just by getting a new shock absorber and if the new shock absorber is compatible with the old shaft tail ends.
