Salvimar vacuum barrel kit

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
The Salvimar "Vuoto 11" muzzle kit has 24mm OD.

The old (blue handle) "Cyrano" and the "Sten 11" muzzles have 20mm OD and sit in front of a flat-ended nose cone - so the "Vuoto 11" kit can be fitted on these without any problems.

The "Cyrano Evo" (42-70cm) is supplied with a muzzle identical to the "Sten 11" but it sits inside a forward well in the nose cone that covers the rear end of the muzzle. The well has a diameter that's a little larger than 20mm and it is approx. 11mm deep.

The "Vuoto 11" muzzle can be made to fit the "Cyrano Evo" by removing material from the muzzle, so it fits into the well. The machined area will need a suitable new corrosion protection.

Anyone happen to know if the mares muzzle is the sane thread as Seac?

It's not.
The Vuoto 13 thread is 18x1,25mm. The Vuoto 11 is 16x1,25. Seac uses 18x1,5mm.

Jegwan is correct - Salvimar's dry muzzles wont work for Seac guns.

For Seac, Seatec Evo-Air will work (make sure you get the 1.5mm thread pitch model...;-)) or get an STC (expensive) or a Tomba (maybe there's a bit of a wait?).

Yeah, I noticed the slimmed down version but couldn't figure out what it was for. Smart guys at Salvi. Now, just make that Seac thread version and people need look no further;-)

Yeah Gecko; that would be very nice and easy... and for both the 13mm and the 11mm barrel Seac's

That's true kwtony.
I don't have a Seac myself, but I do have various of his Tomba kits on other guns - and I'm very pleased.
I also use his sliders together with the Vuoto. Great stuff!

I am thinking about to make adapter like this on image for spears from 6,5 mm to 8 mm for Salvimar kit.
This would centralised the spear what is especially important for 6,5 mm shaft.

I couldn't agree more. Even for 7mm, there seemss to be too much room in the muzzle. I thought about this a while back when I realized STC bushings are not much more than 1/10 - 2/10s of a mm bigger than the spear itself.
Do you think the oversized Salvi muzzle affects precision?

Yes I do, especially with free shaft.
