I went camping out on Santa Cruz Island on Sunday. The conditions were nice. the water warm somwhere in the 60's, 20 ft visibility and flat. lots of opal eye and blacksmith. i got two sheep and a calico on the first day. my biggest fish yet :).

Very nice! Where out of Santa Cruz did you dive? I'm heading there in a few days and possibly going diving in Monterey.

batray: we went camping in scorpion harbor on the east side of the island. its in a MPA so you have to kayak pretty far. if your on a boat i'd recommend not going where i was. i got lucky :). if your in monterey and looking for a dive buddy pm me, im always looking for someone to go diving with.

 Oops; saw "Santa Cruz" and didn't read "Island" after it. I'm going to head to that area this week. I thought there might be decent diving to be had there, but Monterey is a better bet.

I heard Santa Cruz island has monster goats.
These were form San Diego.

one goat in this photos was 24lb the other was 19 lb
