Here is the 3.25 kilo sea bass caught in really murky water this weekend

An aspetto at 16m on a sand bottom and two bass of the same size appeared. An instinctive shot went too high and only a fast bear-hug prevented it from escaping. I did manage to get spiked though :(

Looks like the spike did some damage, you're still scowling. :D Nice fish though.

Brad

Hey Brad, I had the sun in my face and was knackered from swimming in the current for 4 hours

Here is another pic.

By the way I think this is my 1000th post :D

Nice fish Shane!

Could ya do me a favor & post your pics in this photos subforum so I don't have to move them every time? :(

Keep up the good work, keep the fish, posts and pictures coming, always a pleasure to see what youve been up to,

David

Nice fish Shane !
Now I know what to look for - I've been catching the smaller ones, maybe I'll see one this size or the size of that huge bass you posted a while back.
Ed

Shane - what gun/gear did you shoot it with ?

I have a mental picture of you wrestling with the bass down at 16 metres !
Cheers
Ed

I was using my picasso century 110. it was a bit too long for the water as it was too murky. I had to pull the gun back to make the shot and therefore the spear went off center.

HEHEHEHE it was a rivetting expericence as the fish was swimming in circles and the rip was getting bigger and bigger so i just let go of the line and grabbed the fish.

I have been spiked by those fish many times too.. buggers always seem to resist when you try to kill them.. some sort of personality disorder... although feels good when you finally tame to beast..

Nice fish!
