Scallops with Leeks in Orange

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

This is basically the same recipe as Scallops David Cameron but substituting Leeks for Spring Onions & freshly squeezed orange for the lime. I prefer Scallops David Cameron but this is not bad..esp. if you have a sweet tooth. [Another forum member suggested leeks - sorry can't recall who or find the reply - but they work well]. I had no spring onions or limes --so Scallops with Leeks in Orange it had to be:

1. Clean scallops as for Scallops David Cameron
2. Fry leeks & scallops quickly in a hot pan of light oil (e.g. sun flower oil).
3. Serve in cleaned shells. Pour a little freshly squeezed Orange juice over it. Don't over do the OJ ...the OJs sweetness & taste is much less subtle than lime.

Serve as a starter, 1 or 2 two each (many folk don't appreciate shell fish - others love them). A brace of pheasants served in cider, cream, onion & apple sauce makes a fine main course:p.
