Scary Moment - Boat Passing Over my Head Dusky Grouper in my Hands

Do you use a marker buoy, with the appropriate diver-down flag for your part of the world?

And a hi-Viz tape on the tip of your snorkel?

I find the sound of a nearby boat engine quite alarming while spearing. Although sometimes they are quite far away.

Kayaks, etc. are harder to detect. And, sadly, some come closer to examine the marker buoy :(

[Less commonly, the sound of a high-power sonar pings, can be disturbing while spearing too :( ]
