Hey freedivers
I want to buy a wetsuit for apnoe (my first one) and I would like one without hood (I plan to buy the hood separately). At my local dive center they could not find any apnoe suits that had no hood, therefore a well stretchable scuba suit was suggested. They ordered wetsuits from BARE for me to try next week (http://www.baresports.com/en-eu/dive/products/mens?g=men|unisex). I think they ordered the velocity and the flex model.
Does anybody have experience with using these specific suits for apnea? Does it make sense to use scuba suits for apnoe in general? I plan to use the suit for all the disciplines, but am most keen on using it for dynamic and constant weight, both with and without fins. As a beginner I am not looking for high-end stuff, but it should still make sense.
Thanks for your help

PS: The reason I want no hood is that I like to have my head as free as possible under water, to be able to easly look around, to have no extra noises around my ears and also less equalization problems. I would buy a separate hood for cold days or also use a swim cap.
