Ive always loved airguns. Once i switched to the darkside, i couldn't go back. I like the no recoil, the power, and how easy it moves thru the water.

I have an Asso 115 mamba, 2 Mares Cyrano 700, 1 Mares Cyrano 850, and a Omer skorpian 71cm that i dont like that much because it doesn't float after i shoot. I dont need mamba kits on these smaller guns because they have more than enough power for the close distance shots I'm making. I dont even pump them all the way and they penetrate the fish every time. Eventually, ill order another 115cm mamba kit gun for a backup gun.

That is a fantastic collection of air guns. Can you tell me if you think the asso is a good choice in the 110 range compared to the other makes available? I have been told, only tonight, that the asso needs a bigger trigger pin & in fact is harder to load than others??

there is a kit to make the trigger more sensitive. I would definitely get that. People say the asso is the best choice because its 13mm. Its hard to load because its 13mm not 11mm like the Mares Cyrano. You can load the gun with less pressure and less stress on the gun to make it fire like a bazooka (6m+ gun from tip of shaft) You only need to load the Asso to 24 atm and you wont even see the 7mm 130cm spear come out of the gun. Asso mamba at 24 atm is like Cyrano at 34 atm. It is harder to load than a normal 11mm gun like the Cyrano but you will get used to it. I personally think Mares guns are better quality but people say they arent balanced perfectly. They are a lil top heavy. Im going to try to get them to custom make me or find me a New style Mares Sten at 115 cm. I just love how mares gun handle and trigger feels in my hand. If its going to be a lil top heavy, i dont care :) You cant lose buying the asso mamba 115cm though. I just like lots of toys.

Thanks for that, much the same as the Medfish boys say. My friend Ed (portinfer) contacted Maorisub but the usual language probs have already caused confusion  but we will get there in the end?

Sten 100 :inlove . It has been my first "serious" speargun years ago. The new Sten series has a nice design indeed, as Greekdiver says: a difference I noticed when I saw it in a shop is that the aiming line has fair "marks" on top of handle and muzzle, while the old series had non marks at all.

Greekdiver, for new style Mares Sten if you live in California I think you may contact forum member ZOHARA: he's the new Mares rep for Us West Coast.

i was gonna make aiming lines for my asso.

You think they make a new sten 115cm? Everywhere i look online, i just see 100cm which is too short. Thats why i said im sure they can custom make one for me and it wont be too hard. Im guessing all you would have to do is change the internal and external barrel to 115 from a 100cm new sten. All pneumatics are very similiar internally. I also love the saftey on the new Mares Stens.
