I'm wondering if there are any websites where I would be able to find 2nd hand equipment, for freediving and spearfishing.

I've recently spent some time in Fiji and lived with a Fijian family for a week, the trade that my host was skilled at was Night Diving Fisherman. It was eye opening to see the equipment that he used and I was wondering if anyone on here could point me in the right direction in finding 2nd equipment or even pass me downs, that I could then send on to him. Be it wetsuits/flippers/gloves anything that would help him out as a night diving fisherman.

I see you are based in Queensland. Over the years I've researched equipment availability as a hobby and in the case of Australia I've noticed plenty of gear on sites such as Gumtree and eBay. Your local dive stores may have second-hand equipment as well if you check with them. I'm particularly interested in vintage basic gear that is no longer commercially available and my American friends on vintage diving forums tell me that the charity shops in their country can also be a rich source of used equipment; perhaps the same is true where you are. Yet another way of getting hold of used basic gear is to invite donations of the same on the online forums of Scubaboard, which not only has a snorkelling/freediving section but also a very large population of people actively involved in the diving.
