I know there are few secrets left in the world but i'm headed to St. John in July and wondered if anyone had a good time there freediving/snorkeling that they would be willing to tell about. I'd like to charter a boat one day and find some "off shore" adventure also. thanks for any info. I'll try to report in when I get back...

One of my personal favorites is a spot between cinnamon bay and maho bay in St. John, USVI. Lot's a little swim throughs and one cave/swim through with a bunch of lobster. Also on the other side of the island of St. John there is a little island called "Booby Rock" on the south side. Lot's of ledges, and you can easily spot lobster and nurse shark. There are way to many good dive spots to mention, but those are my favorites to frequent.

Thanks a lot. I know giving up spots is not always cool and even less cool to ask abou them. I don't want to crowd anyones special locale but I thought I'd ask. Thanks again.
