I live in Northern California. Average 6 cold water scuba dives per year.
Average 60 warm water dives per year.
Average 8 freediving abalone dive days per year. I dive with great group of divers from Sacramento Area. I am the old guy and the younger guys watch out for me. I will be 71 in September.

Welcome bzbcal. We have several older, active divers on the forum, including spearfisherman, Bill McIntyre who I believe is based in Southern California. There arealso members in Northern California. We are also reminded from time to time by various people that veteran British competition spearo Peter Crawford is still active and very effective - his son is a forum member. We also have Old Man Dave but I think he is a relatively young whipper snapper, not sure about his older brother Derrick (I'm reminded of the two charcoal-burners, grandfather Young Billy and his father Old Billy in the children's book Swallows & Amazons;)).
