Shark repelent

Has anyone actualy used one of the electric shark repelants? Do they have any affect on Pelagic fish species? I have been thinking about getting one... Not much point if the fish don't like them :duh .

when some at school asked me why i carry a knife while diving (both scuba and free...) here is what i told them

"you know when that shark shows up, the trick is to get your knife out faster then you buddy, just poke him till he bleeds a little and the sharks wont worry about you rofl
its the best way to get rid of sharks, just feed them your buddy"

so, if you want shark repelent just get a dive buddy with slow reflexes

and yes - they will bug large palegic species.


and arn't large sharks (tiger, H-head, whites) all attracted by electrical impulses?

Hmmm.... I know, blah blah, differnt Hz, Blah Blah. I laugh so hard when I see people with those things I usually drop my reg.
