Shimano Monofin

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Pretty sure that Waterway use PCB for at least their Captain Nemo blades. No angle, though.
 
Anybody have an idea what thickness to start with? My only fiberglass monofin is a Nemo, but the way it's built it is hard to see how thick the base is (it's under the footpockets and wings). This is probably the same fiberglass used in the video I posted a link to earlier, about how to make a monofin by peeling layers.

Indeed, it looks quite common. I did not know that before. I just came over a very detailed video tutorial for manufacturing a monofin blade from a PCB sheet:

Trux, can you tell from that video what the thickness of the original sheet is? The very first part, at :07 in the first video. It looks like it might say 2mm but I do not understand the language so I cannot be sure. I can buy PCB sheet in the USA but do not know what thickness to start with. Hard to tell on my completed Nemo fin.
