Shipwrecks in Dardanelles, Turkey

Hey!
Turkey is not a very well promoted place to dive, except a few touristy spots in the Meditterenean (that is why Turkish Riviera). Yet you would be surprised how interesting dives can be in Aegean Sea, just some 4 hours drive from Istanbul.
First of all, there is SAROZ Bay (40° 30' 0 N, 26° 19' 60 E) with many walls, reefs and rocks. The best season to come and dive is may - august, but many diving clubs operate from april - october.
Then, there is Dardanelles (40° 17' 60 N, 26° 15' 0 E). It takes some knowledge of Turkish history to realize what a strategic point it has been. From German torpedo ship, to British and Anzac boats, Dardanelles has them all. Not all of them are allowed to dive, and many others require a special permit from the Turkish government. Solo dives are not allowed.
