Oh yeah, and I didn't realize I had blacked out.... my buddy had to convince me after I came to that I had actually blacked out. I dont remember about 30 seconds before the BO.

When I BO'ed in dynamic I was watching the black squares on the bottom when they started to meld together. I also started to feel disconected from my arms and legs. I hit the wall, came up and to my recollection, I took off my mask and said " I'm OK" My buddies were giving me concerned looks instead of congratulating me for a PB. Turns out I came out of the water and imediately fell back in. I don't have any memory of it at all. Just the few seconds before and 20 seconds after. Spooky

I can remember that in the last few seconds before a BO, I had a strange 'spaced' feeling and my thoughts seemed to fade away. I was still fully aware of my surroundings. The next thing I knew, my buddy had picked me up and was blowing on my face.

I also remember the last few seconds before a BO twice during dry statics. One was when I did at least 3:15 passive exhale. The urge to breathe never came, and suddenly I realised I was going to pass out. There was no strange feeling in particular, maybe a slight 'heavy' feeling, like in an elevator which starts or stops suddenly. Then I came round. The other time was when I did long statics with short intervals, and I wasn't used to this. I did 4:30 with contractions starting at 1:30, the longest I have put up with contractions. Afterwards I took a breath and thought 'I'm going to pass out'. And I did.

In all these, by the time I knew there was a problem there was nothing I could do about it.

Although it's not good to have blackouts, I have learnt lessons from things like that and now I have worked out what went wrong, so the same mistake doesn't happen again.
