I'm looking into picking some of these up but need help with the sizing. I wear a men's size 10 (U.S.)

What are the size 11-13? That seems like a pretty big range for a sized full-pocket fin.

Hey
May or may not help but I am size UK 10.5 and wear 44-46 full-pocket Sporasub Dessaults with a 3mm sock.
Fits well - I have a high arch and wide feet. The foot pocket is good - but I haven't tried on any other fins except Mares Quattro open fins (ahhh blissful ignorance before freediving days !)

I wear a men's size 12 (US) shoe, which fits me a little loose. I *JUST* today received my Dessaults in the mail, size 11-13. The pocket is WAY too big, and not just long. It is ridiculously wide and I have a narrow foot. I am pretty sure the next size down would still be too wide.

I went to the local dive store to see if they had any socks that could make it fit. No luck there, but HUGE SHOCK the store had a few sets of Sporasub Variants for only $80! They had them in size 9-10 which fits me perfect with or without 2mm sock. Looking at the pocket from the Dessault 11-13 and the Variant 9-10, there is a huge difference in width, I'm pretty sure much more than is covered by the size variance* (pun intended). I don't have the luxury of trying on a Dessault 9-10 (since I ordered mine from DiveInn in Spain and am hoping it's not a PITA to return them), but I have the feeling now that the Dessault is better for a wide foot and the Variant is better for a narrow one. My Variants fit perfect and I can't wait to try them out this weekend. I can't say a thing about how they swim yet (nor would I have a frame of reference since they're my first longblades), but the removable foot pocket attachment requires no tools and looks like a more user-friendly design than on the Dessault.

WOW! Glad I asked. I do have a narrow foot and will look into the variants before making a final decision. How about arch-wise? Has anyone noticed if the amount of arch in your foot has anything to do with fin fit?

Another note on this topic... I decided against the Variants as well now because I have read many reports of the foot pockets breaking. I am leaning toward the Cressi Gara 2000 HF which also fits my narrow foot well - the 8/9 Gara fits me the same as a 9/10 Variant.

I just got some Gara 3000's and find them a bit narrow for my foot. Its really uncomfortable. I normally wear 3mm bootie socks but will try 1mm ones to see if it helps.

With hindsight maybe the Sporasub's or similar would have been better?
