We (Standard Life Dive Club)have spaces available for 1 week day boat diving with Hazel on the Stormdrift & Self Catering in the Orca Hotel in Stromness.That lets us have free run of the kitchen and dining room to cook what we want and we have access to washing machine and drying for salty undersuits etc.
Leave Edinburgh noon on Saturday 9 September - arrive 23:00 in Kirkwall
Leave Kirkwall 23:00 on Friday 15 September - arrive in Edinburgh noon Saturday 16 September. Or you can do your own transfer and fly or get Scrabster ferry or whatever.
Good bunch of divers - 2 to 3 dives a day, we can cater for all levels of experience. Non-diving family or friends welcome. Tours of Orkney sights can be arranged.
£25 a day for the diving - £150 for the week
£20 a day for the accommodation - £140 for the week
So - £290 all in for dive and accommodation per person.
Ferry, return from Aberdeen (including cabin on overnight return and share of minibus ferry fare) = £99
If you want a lift in the minibus from Edinburgh return - add £100 for share of hire and diesel.
