Nice, but I prefer my Tomba slider for Salvimar muzzle having hydro braking possibility. See from 11:30.

Why do you think hydro braking is not good for rivers and lakes?
If you mean sand and mud, it's not even good for a rifle.

That is why your guns with aluminum barrels are not suitable for our rivers and lakes! Especially plastic sliders! We have dirty water and a lot of technological and natural garbage in the water at the bottom and near the shore!

This is the slider Italians like very much - Tomolo. I also had a similar "knot" slider - just the knot was different than at the image.
This is better because the knot is smaller - it is spliced.

Oooh, Tomi - I like this!
I may have to give this slider design a go...:)

I have spliced dyneema before - even really thin stuff and made special splicing tools for the task. Sounds more advanced than it really is. You basically bend some thin but stiff rod/wire and make a sort of handle and that's it.

Here are some snaps of my splicing tools:

The hollow needles they use on thicker line generally won't work on thinner lines - I tried, I got really thin walled SS tubing in all sorts of sizes and never got it to work. The loops seen here work better;)

As far as I recall, back when I last dabbled in this, I managed to splice 1.5mm dyneema.
The issue then becomes one of stiffness of the line. For dyneema shooting line it really helps avoid it tangling the stiff it is. And the factories obtain that by adding a PU coating to the outer sock/sleeve. Some may also do it on the single braided (w.o. sleeve) lines. But too much of it, on a thin line, and it becomes very difficult to splice. Too little and the line tangles too easily.
