Hello,

I've sometimes done an exercise where I hold my breath for some time, then take one breath in 5 seconds, and then again the same time breathhold, again one breath in 5 sec, etc.

Then as a variation, I tried to do the same breating in and especially out very slowly, and I noticed I can keep up much longer breathholds.

If on top of that I move around a bit (this looks/feels like a little massage to my diaphragm) I can go even longer.

Do then I was wondering
- why does that happen?
- which is the better exercise?
