Hey All I was just wondering if anyone knows any techs for snorkel packing. I keep my snorkel in my kisser all the time while diving, on the surface and diving. When I started freediving I wanted learn to get comfirtable with a snorkel in my mouth through the whole dive. Now I want to experiment with packing and see if it would help me with my diving. Thank you for any help!

Hey Blade! I've had the same experience. Packing with a snorkel is difficult. If you're really going for depth, one technique is to get that big last breath, then roll over onto your back, take the snorkel out of your mouth and pack that way. When you're ready to dive just roll back onto your stomach and away you go. If you are doing deep dives or long dives- pushing your limits in any way- it's probably better to take the snorkel out of your mouth anyway. If you were to black out with the snorkel in your mouth the water has an easy route to your lungs. If the snorkel is out of your mouth, your mouth will be closed and you won't get water in your lungs.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

-Mike
