I'm particularly impressed by the color. Did you use some kind of (lens) filter?

.....and that turtle shot rocks. They never let me get that close.

I didn't used a filter, but processed the scanned pictures with Gimp. My goal was only to have pictures that match my memory of how beautiful it was.

And yes, the turtles were very friendly, you could even touch some of them...
