Hey X!

Thanks for the Ping. It seems I'm almost the only spearo in a very very large continent that posts here, so I did post on the Guernsey thread, but have stopped doing that too as the fish and hunting don't relate too much.

To be honest there are a squilion spearos here, but if the use the web, they only congregate in local or spanish forumns.

I am more around the freediving areas of the forum. I still hunt though ;)

G'day Guys,

I'm diving / spearing most weekends on the island of Itaparica, in Bahia (Brazil) where I have a beach house, although at the moment the vis is pretty poor with the rains and hence we're scuba-diving a lot. I don't normally post threads about spearing because I'm pretty amateurish and just getting back into free-diving (deepest I've been lately is 16m).

I am about to change jobs which means I'll be moving north to live in João Pessoa, in Paraíba (still Brazil!). Does anyone live up there, or at least is there anyone that's been there and dived and can give me some directions?

Cheers Fellas,

Platta (I'm Australian, but I've been living in Brazil for over 6 years):friday

Hey Platta!

Thanks for the message here. Why don't you start a thread here in the South America section, something like "Spearing in Brazil" and see who shows up. I'll bet there are a few lurking around here.

Good luck
