Tribs I think there are purpose made 1kg weight bags that fit the vest.
I used shot from my shot belt & made some little bags from women's tights (thick black woolly ones) I made up 6 bags but only used 300 grams in each as I found the 1kg bags very uncomfortable & to heavy.
If it is the same vest as mine it will be designed to take lead shot you can buy this from most dive shops especially those that sell scuba gear.

Foxy - is that your fishnet vest?rofl

Hi All

Thanks FoxFish. Got the vest from Apnea. My father is a diver and has several bags full of shot but in different sizes and the pockets on this vest are very small. They are the same size as a tin of cafe' creme cigars. Might use your tights ideas but just split down a bigger bag.

Cheers

All further ideas still gratefully recieved.

You could try cutting roofing lead down to size and use measured weights there of. Probably an expensive way of doing it though.

A few fishing weights into each pocket? Or melt them down and do a mould to fit the pocket nice and snug...

Tribs you have the same vest as mine - 300 grams fits nicely in the pockets & is very comfortable. The bags of shot supplied by omer are 1000 grams, I brought these originally & even though they did fit in the pockets I found them very uncomfortable.

If you get hold of the plastic coin money bags they are useful too.

cheers

Hi all

Any tips for clearing/equalizing easily? Its a real mare for me at the mo.

Use the search function. Search for Frenzel its a better technique than valsalva although it can be complicated to learn. If you find that you are having difficulty equalizing try yawning on the surface it seems to help me.
