Well, that was atrocious.
The game was unfinished and had graphics that would have looked bad when it was made in 1999.
Body glove should have thought twice before plastering there logo ALL OVER this game.
Deeply unsatisfying "spearfishing" experience. So incredibly unrealistic in so many ways. Oh well, just have to keep up the real thing.

I'll believe it when it see it Mr X, the charts seem to change so quickly at the minute i don't think it's even worth planning that far ahead.

Try using this site in the future, i find its more accurate than xcweather.

Got in at Brixham breakwater today viz was a measly 1 meter. dived till sunset, saw one small bass and 2 mullet, dived the current along the swimming pool but the viz was so bad i gave up.

Watched the police cornering off a section of the car park for the arrival of the divers tomorrow, apparently they searching for the missing boys body again

dived today caught 13 bass and 6 mullet, watch out for nutters in boats had to wave my hands in the air as boats came head on at me a few times.

Good effort Matt , you going to have to buy another deep freeze to store all that.

I see you use dve hunter. I bought one the begining of the year, very handy bit of kit for long distance.

Were the fish taken around the bay? I was in on Friday night around thatchers with the kayak and people dont seem to understand what a 5knot bouy or a dive flag is.

Hi All,

Did Budleigh with North1 yesterday. Dave saw much more than i did, I had one average bass and he had a nice mullet from a big shoal/school. Tide was awesome and my open back strap fins kept pulling off as I battled the current. It could be the end for them!!!!!!!!!
Was going to go today but last nights stag do put paid to that! Seems it rained all night last and the river has turned the reef brown, but there's always tomorrow.

Still waiting for any recommenadtions for 60-75cm guns. Does anyone know what Spearo Dave's Venoms are like??????????

The venoms were mentioned not too long ago and seem to get the thumbs up.

just back from a dive around the bay. plenty of fish about saw some nice bass and managed to hit 2 at the same time which left me a bit dumb struck. dived into a small shoal of mullet ranging from 2 to 6lb and managed a nice 3lb fish . the sea was slightly rougher than expected and after my dive I found my yak drifting away in the distance so had to swim like the clappers to get it viz wasnt bad at around 2-3 meters and much clearer over the sandy patches. also saw what has to be the biggest wrasse ive ever seen sitting in the kelp below me

I have recently picked up a Venom Apnea 90 (Daves latest range) and it is a very good piece of kit. Solid and has some nice little features. It is a very slightly bouyant at the nose but I have found that this is a bonus because it keeps the spear out of the kelp as you are dropping in. It is then very easy to bring the gun level. It also tracks well with it's 'cuttlefish' cross section. That said, if it's a shorter gun you're after I also have a 75 venom and it is a great basic no frills gun - very light and manouvreable with plenty of power. It doesn't have a full rail but I've never found this to be a problem with accuracy.

Went for a late last minute dive on friday night, sacked an evening with the girlfriend off for a dive. Vis was around 3 meters with allot of swell, not great conditions but fishable. I hadn't been in the water for weeks due to work and the weather, so it felt good to get my 'mojo' back. Managed to bag 3 bass and a mullet, biggest bass was just over 7lb in weight. I spotted it moving through the weed below me and shot it through the top of his head. I came across another nice fat bellied 7/8lb fish when a big wave dumped me 10ft to the right of where i should of been fishing, I think we were both surprised to see each other. Needless to say i didn't turn the gun quick enough and he made a quick exit.

The fish are definitely here now in numbers compared to early on in the year.

All in all a nice dive, that ended up with billy the bass and monty the mullet feeling the shaft instead of the girlfriend, the lucky buggers!

Tribs, any gun will kill fish. I think if your only buying a 60/ 75cm gun then there isn't really any major difference between any band gun, my personal opinion is that you only need to start getting anal/ technical when its 90cm+. My 75cm was my first gun, it's a picasso century with 19mm bands(i think) its basic, powerfull and bomb proof.

You say that but the gun i'm lumbered with at the moment failed to reach a mullet fast enough from about a meter away! :head I'm going to get a new one from Spearo Dave hopefully after I move down to Plymouth next week.

Proved a point today, gloom was less than a 1m and I needed a short gun with power as old 5lb Billy Bass came close enough to kiss me beside my mask!!!!!
North1 and I lasted 30mins before conceding defeat and swam in through the chocolate.
