With all this water coming down over the last few weeks be careful of the sewage that will now be washing untreated into the sea.

I know we are all honest chaps on this forum but I need to give massive thumbs up to Terry – better known on the forum as MIRROR.

Not only did he retrieve my work colleague’s gun, he managed to free up the trigger mechanism and was happy to see it returned to its grateful owner.

Too late! Spent all night and morning feeling and being sick. Swam across the river on Sunday having got my first green light after my new baby.

Been in a couple of times this last week in Torquay, quite a few bass seen but either poor aiming or they’re too quick. Feeling rusty!!

Viz not been great as you'd expect and Monday quite choppy, only in for an hour but came out feeling pretty sick. Then I got this beauty 6.5lb solid fighting machine, took a grip of my ankle on the way to the surface in about 15 feet water. Luckily had 5mm wetsuit & 2 pairs socks on but still managed to cause me quite a bit of discomfort.

Also took couple of mullet on recent trip.

Thought I'd share these, as posts are a bit thin on the ground.

Well done on the lobster mate , that should keep you well fed for a few days !! Next year I am thinking of creating a trophy for the best lobster or crab of the year , ( " the crustacean cup " ) perhaps . It is good to hear of peoples catch reports on these and I am a bit more focused on shellfish myself nowadays .

Terry can you make a trophy for "most under the thumb cyber diver" I'll be a serious contender roflroflroflrofl

I dived Torquay last week and the viz was a decent 2-3 meters in the shallows and slightly better deeper with a lot of surface kak. Loads of bait fish small pollack and the odd big wrasse but no silvers and now that the scallop season's closed im back on the hunt for the bass :friday

I scouted a few spots yesterday and there looks to be a few meters viz which will do me

Really cannot envisage what such a trophy would look like !!! ( flat and sad maybe !) your HOF lobster is a scary beast indeed ,like a dinosaur , doubt i would have tackled it , I have not seen a bass yet this year !

In at the Bay last night, couple hrs before high water.Seaweed up to 75m from shore,wsw blowing, waves, vis poor, up to max 2.5m. Hard dive as 3.5m tide- too hard.. 2hrs later physically hangin, as only 2nd dive of year!Lay back on surface, mask on head to clear nose, face and gasp for air and dumped on by returnin cliff wave which knocked off mask n snorkel, and in blind hunt, lost!! Worse still, fin torn off in weed and waves .. No consolation for lone mullet bagged. If anyone stumbles over mask and fin pls let me know.

Where were you roughly boogabund? nothing worst than losing dive gear.

That HOF lobster I had was a monster mate. Ive never seen another in that spot since.

Weathers looking good for Friday. Calm 3-5 mile winds should calm the water long enough to get out and bag a few fish for the table.

How long is the claw on your big lobby is there a claw to weight scale can you roughly judge a lobby weight by measureing it?if you didnt have scales handy?

I know how you feel. I've lost plenty of gear around there. I have found plenty as well. Last tally was two of crazywinds spearguns. One was still loaded!
If I find anything I will let you know.
Looks like the weekend will be getting better. Haven't been in for a few weeks myself.

Will keep an eye out too! Sandy Bay is an awesome spot for finding Dave and Ollie's gear!!!!!!!!! I too found a Crazywind Speargun.
