Hmmm shooting crabs is illegal in England & eating crabs that have been dead for more that a minute is risky for your health!
I think the shooting of shellfish ban is based from some archaic law about the use of harpoons dating well back, however I believe this law still stands.
Apparently Crabs & lobsters go toxic very quickly after death, hence the cook them alive method!

I read it like that foxy as in `shoot it` not `shoot in` fair comment to remind all tho . Acrab that big anit going to let you out of the gully tho ! You might end up being tea!!

Hi everyone
first post - apologies if this is in the wrong place! can anyone tell me where i can find the size regulations for bass / lobster / crab etc for south Devon? I'm new to this game - really enjoying it but keen not to fall foul of any regs and / or accepted practices in terms of what is reasonable to take (if I ever manage to get anything!!! - 1 bass so far!)

hi all went for a dive today with dad had 2 nice bass and a nice dover sole and a big mullet but nothing like this 12. 1/2 pounder that dad caught he also haveanother nice bass and 2 big mullet the big no are about

Hi All,
Went today in the Force 4/5 SW. Viz off the reef was good in places, a few fish seen at hyper speed, nothing taken. Managed to surf in 50ft on my Divehunter which was the highlight. Felt fishy but just mullet,pollack and wrasse seen.

Went for a dive today,the forcast was out a bit and i nearly turned around and came in. Found some good vis even in the choopy conditions. Ended up with Bass to 8lb2oz,Mullet to 4lb and Pollack.
Comical to have boat anglers casting lures at you when they see bass on your float line. Scary to when there prop wash blanks out your vision.

Gotta a love the boat nutters Nick. If they not running you over they trying to steal your hard earned catch roflroflrofl

Lovely fish as always and kudos on finding viz that rain yesterday has screwed the viz up this way. The Teign has zero viz....
