Made to measure is the only way to go. Oceanos/Diveskin are great. Elios are a bit better but cost more. (Nice and warm for four and a bit hours in my Elios today

)cool thanks for that il have to tell santa ive pritty much trashed my two surf wetsuits and gloves they were the only proper kit i did not buy when i got all the spear fishing kit earlier this year when i started
im apsolutly loving it though what a great sport like dai asbo im from the land locked area so enjoying having the sea on my door step now i live in plymouth

Getton Shiny1 great report again. Thanks for the trip the other day boy. I will get Saturday out the way and then I can just dive or do whatever again. I hope the viz is OK from Monday onwards....
Hi all went in at the weekend with north1 on my second dive this fish is coming verry fast and it is not a bass it is a ....BREAM!!! i try to stay cool but the bream is not coming near me i just try my luck the bream is on the edge of the viz i shoot in hope and made contact fish the fish right behind the head yes I just shoot my frist bream few dive later on the edge of the ledge i can see some thing new about 12 trigers fish take the shot 1 triger 2 new fish for me :friday

Bigbury: 2 metres and better at bottom. Lots of small pollack, saw flashes of bass and bream. Quite choppy. Getting better. Caught enough for fish and chips.
Nice work Ollie, nothing like bagging a new specie, but two in one session bravo.
Hi all,
In at 6am this morning, had to sit on the waters edge and wait for the sun to come up, beautiful. Water was clear and cloudy in patches but the mullet were there in their hundreds. Only one bass seen all day though which was disappointing. Few crabs too but no cuttle this time.
Came home with what I could carry.

After world war 3 in our house, went in off of Teignmouth dropped straight down onto a 5lb+ bass making its way through the kelp, I waited, took aim & waited & waited, to then see it shoot off into the gloom. :vangry GRRR what was I doing?
Took a breath & down again into a gully, bloody hell what is this approaching bass, mullet?? Turns out to be the biggest mullet I have seen a good 7lb if not more, what do I do take a body shot to ensure I get it?? No go for the kebab shot, shooting straight over its head as it turned away. :vangry:vangry
Carried on thoroughly hacked off, Took a mullet & bass both about 2.5lbs. Tide now raging through into the Teign & a lot of effort needed to stop being taken up river.
Didn’t realise how you need to empty your head before you dive, missed some good fish today. Will never make that mistake again!!
Sat here on nights looking at the Dorset thread, some cracking fish coming in. Obviously not that busy. zzz

You been looking in shiny's freezer then !!! I went out at Burgh Island and saw 1 bass got it though !! not big, but have not blanked for a while now !!Saw the most fish I have seen all season today...

I had four bass and a decent mullet, I should of had more but when there are loads around I seem to hesitate instead of taking the first one in the line of fire. When you miss they come right up to you and by the time I have reloaded they are gone. I don't mind though. I reckon I will go again tomorrow.

I will go elsewhere tomorrow. Hopefully have a few more for the freezer for the winter. Shiny went out today but I think he was on his rod and line.
Get on Bish you slayer!! Yep rod n line today but did go for a birthday dive yesterday afternoon. Good conditions even if the wind picked up later in the day. I was hoping to film some Triggers but not many seen. I ended up with a mixed catch of Triggers,Plaice Red Mullet,Crab,Lobster and a single Scallop. The red mullet was the fish of the day at 1lb 10oz.

Had an invite from the codfather to go out with him today so snapped it up. Shiny is very particular with everything about fishing and spearing so our late start was annoying to him. He was concerned about the wind affecting the day out and he was right. It was very blowy and choppy conditions. We had a go though and a good laugh. No catch for me but a nice bass and a good sized pollack for the Shiny1. It went exactly as he thought but I still enjoyed it.

lol....it was to neat for my filleting boy, you may have to sacrifice a crab to her or tell me where to go? And don't say down the quay ;-) I will have to out with the torch and actually look for them rather then fish eh boy
