Hey im new to spearfishing and loving it but I hunt off the shore as i have no access to a boat or kayak at the moment. I live in portsmouth but i have a car and would love to try new places anywhere along the south coast and was wondering if anyone new anywhere to go, and what should i be looking for when seaching for a new place? Is there things i need to look out for im just thinging about tides and being pushed onto rocks? Any help would be great thank you!

I'm just starting out really & an in selsey. I'm hoping the tones of rock they have dumped in the sea off west beach will provide a decent place for spearing.

Nice place to be situated, there can be some fairly good fishing there at times!

They have spent £19 million on sea defence by the caravan park at west beach. There are 2 massive boulder sea breaks which on high water slack will probably have a depth of at least 5m. Now they have finished working hopefully the fish will gather there & it could become a nice little spearing spot.
Hey Clarke, im new to spear-fishing as-well and im currently based in Portsmouth with the navy and looking for some spots to go, would be awesome if you could possibly help me out. Are their any shops around where i may be able to purchase some kit.
