Hey everybody! I recently moved to Helsinki for my studies, and was hoping to do some freshwater spearing in the summer. I have all my gear here already, now just need a buddy! I'd also love some recommendations on where, if not on this forum, I'd be able to contact fellow spearos. Thank you!

Hi Soma! Congratulations on moving to Helsinki! It’s great that you’re planning on spearfishing. I’m really into it too, but I don’t live near you! You can ask around at specialist watersports shops; they often know people who share the same interests. Good luck and have a great time!

Have you read up on the technicalities of fishing in Helsinki? Because in many places, the laws regarding underwater fishing can be quite dangerous, especially in freshwater environments. If not, I think it’s worth checking to avoid getting into trouble!
That's Not My Neighbor
Hi trannie, and thanks for the reply! Could you point me to some sources or give an example of what kinda things to look out for?
