Hi all, I am off to work in Gran Canaria in August and can't live unless I can freedive and spearfish. Please help!! ( you will always have a place to stay when you come over :) )

All I can offer is [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showpost.php?p=519776&postcount=2"]this reply[/ame] by Pablo to a similar question, I guess you've already read it but someone may re read an speak up :)

I've always dreamed of diving and spearfishing there. My family is from La Palma, but immigrated to Cuba. Perhaps someday I'll get over there and submerge myself in the Canary Waters.

Edu, Alison etc,

Thanks guys! I shall study Spanish hard as I will be there a while and will report back on my adventures.
Looking forward to grabbing my first Tuna!!

Dave

Hi Dave,
I'm going to Gran Canaria for the first week of Jan 09 and would be interested to know if you (or anyone else reading this) have any tips of good places to go for freediving and spearfishing after your trip there?
Cheers, Matt
