spearfishing l'escala spain

Hi , i am going on holiday to l'escala spain this year
i will arrive on july 11 until august 8
this is not my first time in l'escala
i always went spearfishing on the big pier in front of the harbor
and between the big concrete blocks
now i am looking for some new good fish spots in the region
maybe someone knows these spots and would like to help me a little bit
and if possible meet a fellow spearfisher and maybe team up to learn more
about good hunting spots.

I will be in Barcelona for 2 weeks how far is it from l'escala. I am from Canada and spearfish in the Caribean generally

I think the distance is around 150 km .
Is It Your First Time in Barcelona ?
15 years ago i Always went on Holiday 50 km past Barcelona ( cubbellas -cunit )
The water quality in l'escala is much better as at Barcelona area .
I hope It Will work out for You @ Barcelona

Arrived in l'escala yesterday,good weather good visibility in the sea .
Hope to meet some other spearfishing friends .

Today I went to the doctor to get examined for the spearfishing licence , the doctor gives a good advice . Then I went to the local fish shop and the owner went to girona to get my licence . So now I am the proud owner of a licencia pesca subaquatica . Tomorrow of to the sea and try to catch some and maybe meet some other spearo's

First dive & hunt of the season is a fact .
It went reasonable well after 2 years of inactivity I have achieved a depth of 13,6 m but straight down and back up in a hurry .
Will need some more exercises on bottom time. Catch of the day ,4 dorado's 1 seabass and a 50 cm barracuda .
