Spearfishing licenses in europe.

Hi all,

I was just wondering which countries in Europe require a spear fishing license?

I have read on the forums that Spain do, but how about France, Portugal and Italy??

Yes you are supposed to in several - I don't know the full extent of EU countries requiring them but I have had licenses for spearing in Spain, France and Greece over the years. Unfortunately all of them required medicals and a bit of farting about 'in country.'

In Portugal you need a spearfishing licence, but you dont need to do any medical exames or to have an insurance...you just have to pay the licence
