spearfishing magazines?

are there any mags you guys can recommend from the US? I know the two from Australia but none other.

There used to one out of Florida but don't think they have published an issue for many years. The only other magazine I am aware of is Hawaii Skin Diver. Excellent photos and lots of travel stories. They publish four issues a year. You will not be disappointed with a subscription! Could you tell me a little about the Australian magazines?

There are two mags here which i also think are quarterly: "International spearfishing and freediving news" which is in the format of a color newspaper folded in half. It's mostly self submitted stories from spearo's. A good read but they could do with an editor (filled with more typo's and grammatical errors than you can point a stick at). The other is "Spearfishing Downunder" which despite the more relaxed title is a far glossier publication, traditional magazine format along with solid stories and how-to's.

My main gripe with some of these mags is a lack of objective criticism towards products as most of the copy is bias towards one brand or another (especially ISFN) so it feels more like an advert.

There is also a magazine called DEEP, I believe it's international though.

NZ spearo is another decent read...from new zealand and just undergone a facelift of sorts, should expect more consistent issues and a more professional look.

There is a mag based here in Florida called "SPEARING MAGAZINE". Pretty good and informative, it comes out 4 times a year that's my only peave. $16 a year.
