spearfishing Terceira/Azores

Hi all,

I'm planning on a trip to Terceira/Azores for spearfishing..

Im thinking April this year, somebody there to meet up with?

It would be graet to have a buddy to do some Bluewater trips together !

(Bringing the big gun/2 atm float&bungee aswel as 100cm gun with me)

For who's interested:

My plan is to go to the Azores for a week of spearfishing and go on a charter trip with Paulo Gaspar for some serious blue water hunting!

(Paulo dous charter's from May to Octobre)

I wil try to go on a one day charter with Paulo to the Princess Alice Bank, somewehre in July becouse my (main) target
wil be the (bf) Tuna

If there are people who like to join this adventure that would be great
The charter costs 950 euro:duh but with 3 people it is rather affordible.

I think with (a bit of luck) it wil be a great trip!

Hello, Fabian!

I was in Terceira in April! From what I was able to gather it is not the best time for spearfishing, summer months are the best! However I am not an expert by any stretch on Blue Water hunting - never done it nor equipped to do it. I spent a week on a catamaran so I was at liberty to dive where I wanted but unfortunately I did not have the pinnacles' coordinates. I also spent three weeks on Santa Maria island in Azores and even wrote a short review. But I did almost exclusively shore dives that would be of no interest to you.

If you were going in summer, I would have considered joining you, but not an April. Make sure that you have a 3mm wetsuit + 3mm vest or a 5mm wetsuit all together. If you think I can provide some info for you, do not hesitate to PM me.

You better get in touch by pm or emial! I think he's going in the summer (best time for BW action) and not April...
