Thanks guys.

Won't I need to have a bungee in the line, (mono in my case) to allow the line's loop, (the tag end), to stretch over the line release lever, or I'll just make the loop that finishes over it a bit bigger? I'm big on not having crap fluttering. True Aquiles, these whites are skittish. The tuna clip on the floatline will then clip to that loop over the lever...

I just left a story on the stories board for your amusement.

bungee

the bungee loop will keep tension on your shaft line so that it won't come undone. just make sure your floatline goes directly to the shaftline as well.

You can go without the bungee also, just make your shoot line shorter than your release mechanism and pull it over by pulling your tagline. Mono has some stretch. Thats how the Haole crab does it. Check it out... www.geocities.com/haolecrab/
