spearing licence??

Hi Everyone, Been watching the forums for a while but this is my first post. I did a bit of spearing when i lived in spain, but ive been in the London for a year or so now and havent had the chance. really looking forward to summer in the water. does anyone know what the deal is with licences over here and where i can or cant fish? A nudge in the right direction would be great.

No licenses are needed in the UK, but you have the same minimum landing sizes for fish as any other type of fisherman.
In addition it is illegal to spear salmon, trout, freshwater fish or shellfish. It is also illegal to sell speared fish
