I went in Leyn Peninsula over the weekend, rough conditions and bad visibility but a few bass around! The first day loads of fish but bad luck since the fish were always coming from the wrong direction and btw vis was about 2m and it didn't help so 2 nice bass at the end of the day.Sunday vis was slightly better and the wind less strong, less fish then saturday but 5 bass cought. Nothing big, 2-3 pounds!
On sunday while I was hidden in the kelp, 3 huge dolphins passed by me! I must admit they definitely scared me, I was not expecting to see three massive shapes like that but definitely great experience!
Instead on saturday I fell in love for a cute seal, they're really fascinating animal!

I swam with a pod of dolphins last year in the Red sea but you could see them for a good distance, they definitely didn't come out of the murk rofl

Looking good for the weekend Dario!

Pastor
thanks alot for setting up my gun the weekend, it was great meeting you, the mrs sends her regards for the fish supper you supplied as well.
see you soon
Neil

yep, its really starting to get me down now!!! may find a bit of shelter over south west wales but think it may be another weekend watching the telly!!!!

There was ripples on Dorry tonight too.... most annoying.

Get your asses over there for some real diving guys. JM AG and HW were in attendance tonight, it was like an olden days revival.

I don't think I can dive on the weekend but I'll definatley be going in the week. Probably Tuesday early morning either at Nefyn or on Anglesey if you are interested. Did you catch anything at home?

well boys went on holiday to talland bay for my first time spear fishing, vis was good and caught 3 large spider crabs which tasted great and missed 1 large bass with the gun which was resting below a ledge who saw me before I saw it. in fact missed all fish but got the knack of loading the gun and setting the band on the spear.
didnt appreciate stabbing myself in the leg with my stringer whilst trying to load the gun one time so its an improvised stringer holder i need to set up to cover the tip, any suggestions there appreciated
at the end of the trip I felt I was getting near the fish quietly but need to adjust to the distance due to the refraction to get a shot.
amazing place looe with the looe divers shop pointing out the places where the competions used to be held in the 1970's which was a suprise as i expected to get my head kicked in for asking.....
camping right near the bay was £3.50 per adult a night with free ultra clean hot showers and toilets at the west wayland touring park, extremely recommended
is the vis any better north wales way yet as im desparate to get in again
all the best:t

Hi John
unfortunately there's not much fish around Rome but yesterday I got this nice blue fish of 3.3 kilos, a small dentex and a small gilthead bream.
I don't know if I can join you during the week yet, I'll let you know!
Dario
